Do · Re · Mi · Fa · Sol · La
The familiar musical sequence Do–Re–Mi–Fa–Sol–La–Si traces its roots back over a thousand years to early sacred music. The Christian origins of Solfeggio are commonly linked to a Gregorian chant titled “Hymn to St. John the Baptist,” written by Paul the Deacon in the 8th century A.D.
In its earliest form, the scale was sung as Ut–Re–Mi–Fa–Sol–La. The syllable Ut was later replaced with Do in the 1600s for ease of vocalization, while the evolution from Sa to Si remains lost to antiquity.
Today, the Solfeggio frequencies are widely used in structured sound work and tonal exploration.
This Solfeggio Set Includes:
✓ UT (Do) – 396 Hz
✓ RE – 417 Hz
✓ MI – 528 Hz
✓ FA – 639 Hz
✓ SOL – 741 Hz
✓ LA – 852 Hz
