Ocarina - Alto

The Ocarina is an ancient vessel flute distinguished by its unique resonance pattern. As one of the earliest wind instruments, it appears in many cultures around the world and has held particular significance in Chinese and Meso-American traditions, where it was often shaped in animal forms, especially birds.

While ocarinas can be made from a variety of materials—including plastic, wood, glass, and metal—they are most commonly crafted from ceramic. Svaram’s Alto Ocarina is hand-crafted from carefully selected sonorous wood sourced from the Auroville plateau, offering a warm and distinctive tonal character.
