Wing Chime - Spiral

Svaram developed this pioneering instrument as part of the NEW WAVES series, based on harmonic Just Intonation Shruti tunings referenced to C = 256 Hz. Designed for movement, the chimes can be gently swung, rotated, guided, and looped through space and around the body.

Through these fluid motions, sound unfolds as a layered, spherical field rather than a fixed point. The result is a deeply tactile listening experience—one that emphasizes resonance, continuity, and a refined sense of harmonic coherence.
