Anatar - Tanpura Santoor

Anantar, meaning “Infinite Strings,” refers to the instrument’s rich and layered string arrangement. The front side features four Tambura strings alongside eight strings tuned to a pentatonic raga scale inspired by the Japanese Koto.

On the reverse side, a dense field of drone strings allows natural harmonics to unfold, creating a sustained and resonant sound bed that supports depth, continuity, and attentive listening.
