Our instrument skill building practices are designed for all levels of our practitioners musicality. We emphasize on the subtleties of playing and resonance in the listening field. We utilize all the families of intsruments to meet a diversity of students interests.

SOUND HEALER INTRODUCTORY TRAINING

OUR FACULTY
Joseph Schmidlin
Joseph Schmidlin D.O.mtp is a classical osteopath, and sound researcher/practitioner with over 35 years of teaching and clinical experience in the field of subtle energy medicine, including cranial & visceral osteopathy, TCM (traditional Chinese medicine), Ayurveda, nada yoga, and sonotherapy (sonic vibrational medicine). His seamless integrative approach of bodywork and sound work bridges these healing modalities and emphasizes on the self-organizing healing nature of the human body. Joseph began his path in the 1980’s as a bodyworker, musician, and Yogi committed to the human potential movement. He's had the privilege to work with with some of the foremost luminaries of our time. in the Field of energy medicine to name a few Dr. John Upledger, Dr Jean Pierre Barrel, Dr. Fritz Smith and the esteemed Dr. John Wernham who seeded his Osteopathic education at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy. He begin to integrate sound work with voice (inspired by his classical Indian Music training) and the tuning forks inspired by his relationship with Dr. John Beaulieu into his clinical practice Health Touch. He found this a seemless yes with greater review potential to integrate body mind and spirit. Today he enjoys sharing this ever unfolding process of true wellness to his students around the world. In 2021, Joseph co-founded OneTone Sonic Alchemy with Gong Master Michael Jay and other visionary collaborators, creating a highly innovative and international teaching team with the aim of creating human unity working with art, science, and craft of sonic principals.
Michael Jay
Michael Jay is a tone scientist integrating shiatsu, subtle energy work and is a Reiki master practitioner. He has specialized with the Gong and worked as a senior teaching assistant for Don Conreaux. He also taught for the S.A.G.E Academy of Sound , Sound Body and is a graduate of the Sound music institute. He also does many collaborative differently focused sound meditations, and has a private sound and bodywork practice. Since 2015 Michael has collaborated with Osteopath Joseph Schmidlin teaching workshops and presenting collaborative sound events under the name of S.U.N. (sonic alchemy now). In 2021 they formed a larger unfoldment Onetone Sonic Alchemy. At heart, Michael is integrative health coach who is committed using Sound for its immense healing power. He sees Sound as a doorway to Meditation and deeper connection, offering us an opportunity to raise our existence to a higher level/octave so we can enjoy our time here and live in tune unity on this planet. He feels our existence is a blessing and wishes for everyone to be able to find their connection with their inner power, with each other, and with the Cosmic creator-helping each person realize the vast oceans of love that each of us really truly are and that infinite love is the only truth.
